AML Policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
1. Our commitment
Nana Crypto Loan is committed to complying with applicable anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CFT) laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where we operate, and to preventing the platform from being used to facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crime.
2. Customer due diligence (KYC/KYB)
Before a user can access Earn, Loan, or trading-liquidity Services, we require completion of identity verification:
- Individuals (KYC) — full legal name, a National ID or Passport, and proof of address (such as a recent utility bill or bank statement).
- Businesses (KYB) — registered business name, and equivalent verification for the business and its representative(s).
- Country verification — confirmation that the user resides in an eligible African country.
Identity verification is performed through our third-party provider, Sumsub, using industry-standard document and liveness checks.
3. Ongoing monitoring
We monitor account activity for patterns consistent with money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or fraud, and may request additional information or documentation at any time, including after an account has been verified.
4. Sanctions screening
We screen users against applicable sanctions and watchlists and may restrict or decline service to individuals or entities identified on such lists, or in jurisdictions subject to comprehensive sanctions.
5. Reporting suspicious activity
Where required by law, we report suspicious transactions or activity to the relevant financial intelligence unit or regulator in the applicable jurisdiction.
6. Record keeping
We retain identity-verification records and transaction data for the period required by applicable AML regulations in each jurisdiction we serve.
7. Enforcement
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Services for any user who fails to complete required verification, provides false or misleading information, or is reasonably suspected of using the Services for illicit purposes.
8. Jurisdictional scope
[To be completed with counsel] — specific AML/CFT obligations, thresholds, and reporting requirements vary by country. This policy should be reviewed against the regulatory requirements of each African jurisdiction in which Nana Crypto Loan is licensed to operate before publication.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this AML Policy to reflect changes in law or our compliance program. The current version will always be posted here.
